This is such a cute place with fairly good prices! Lots of books that aren’t just at big box stores. Good finds for when you’re bored of what’s on the shelf at home. And the employee was super nice! They also have some small gifts, local magazines, and a small selection of notebooks/journals. Hope they stick around!

Really lovely local bookstore with a really great poetry section - not a lot of other stores are going to dedicate space to Palestinian and trans poets and I was so excited to find ones I’d never seen before. Planning to return with my son to shop the children’s books as well!

Ok, this place is great! They have a great selection of old and new and I found a book I've been wanting for a while at a fantastic price! This will definitely be my main bookstore from now on!

This place is a gem! Kind, knowledgeable staff with recommendations if you want, or privacy to shop as needed. I discovered Recluse Books while on a work trip and ordered a book which wad shipped to my home. When the package arrived I found a hand written note inside...Wow!

I found this book store by chance and fell in love. It has a really unique spot in the Indie bookstore scene of DFW. Authors you have never to Texas classics (so many books by Larry McMurtry...yes, please) the entire thing was curated beautifully - very reminiscent of my 'local' in Denton but still different enough for me to make the drive.

What a spectacular gem, right here in Fort Worth. Featuring an eclectic array of books, alongside current popular hits, Recluse is an escape from the mundane. The staff is kind, personable, and so knowledgeable. I’ve attend events they’ve hosted as well, and I’m so grateful for such a unique community and the space they are cultivating.

Recluse Books is a wonderful bookstore with a pleasant atmosphere. It feels like a real book shelter: quiet, cozy and inspiring. The staff is always ready to help with the choice and give good recommendations. I will definitely come back again! ✨

i come here for the zine night and came last time with my 8 month old. i’m very grateful they had a children’s section that i could take my daughter to when she was getting fussy. pleasantly surprised by the price of some of the board books too. brought 2 home and will most likely purchase more board books next time i go

Great little hidden gem in Fort Worth. Manager or maybe the owner was very knowledgeable and offered up great suggestions when needed. Not a massive selection and prices can be a little high as they charge full retail but there were some very unique and hard to find books here.
